Kia ora Whanau Our last brief newsletter for this year. Thank you all for your on-going support for our tamariki and our kura. We have had a great year working together for our children throughout the year. We have shared many highlights that we can be proud of.
I would like to thank our committed members of our Board of Trustees for your huge work of this year. We have a fantastic canopy that has been well utilised both in summer and winter. This is an asset children will appreciate for another 30 years at least. No more wet days stuck inside for our kids. Also the acquisition of the school van has been huge for our school this year. It provides us with many choices to broaden the choices we can provide for class excursions.
Thank you to our Friends of the School for the $5,000 donation to help with the replacement of our ripped Shade sail outside Room 8. We now have a wonderful water proof cover that also provides both Sunshade and rain proof areas for our children in the play and learning.
The Rotokawa Staff are a fun loving committed bunch of professionals that help make our school tick. They work so well together for the best outcomes for our children. Thank you to you all including all of our support staff and caretaker of course. We hope you all take a good break with your families and return well rested for an awesome 2019.
To all of you, our Rotokawa Community - thank you for all of your support in getting your children to school every day to maintain their friendships and their learning progress. Attendance every day possible makes a huge difference for each child. Thank you for all of your support with sports teams and class excursions. We always need your help of course.
We all hope you have an awesome Whanau break. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
May 2019 be your year to reach some of your dreams, achieve some goals and have plenty of fun getting there too.
Of course I say good bye for now and will no doubt see your children rise to many and varied roles and great achievements in the future.
Thank you for sharing our school with me for the past years - we have had so many wonderful times along the way.
I look forward to a different role in 2019 after a holiday of course too.
I wish Matua Regan Williams all the best as he takes up the role of Principal in 2019. He is very much looking forward to the next years ahead, taking our school into an exciting future for all of these tamariki here now and those still to come along in the following years.
