Word From the Principal

Week 5, Term 3

Hope you have been keeping warm throughout the last couple of weeks as the temperatures have plummeted.

We had our second Board of Trustees meeting last week and it was great to sit with our new trustees. We have also selected a new trustee due to the resignation of Kim Charity as she is our new office administrator she was unable to take her seat on the BOT. We would like to welcome Stevie Wall with open arms and congratulate him on his selection as a new BOT member. I would like to personally thank Mitre 10 Mega Rotorua for their kind donation of tools and wood for our woodwork initiative that we are introducing to some of our seniors this week. We now have 50 brand new mountain bikes for our tamariki to learn how to ride and we will also teaching the tamariki basic road rules that we all should know. We are intending on building a mountain bike track in the near future. EXCITING!!! Our tamariki are thoroughly enjoying the trips to Te Weta Bay to check the Catfish nets and this has been exciting for them. This Monday we are going down to check the nets with Tamati Coffey which will be a highlight for our tamariki.
