Kia ora whanau, last week of school and I am wondering where the term went. It has been a fantastic start to 2019 with a lot of things going on within our school and the community. Our learning journey for our tamariki has included a lot of local stories and class visits to some of our very own prestigious landmarks of Rotorua. Our Kahui Ako is going strong and all the schools within in our cluster Lynmore Primary, Owhata Primary, Mokoia Intermediate and Rotorua Lakes High School are beginning to establish a great learning pathway for the tamariki of the Rotorua East region. We have had some excellent results in the sporting arena across the school and our school events have been well attended by our whanau and the local community. We want to continue this journey throughout the year and the whanau support that we have had this term. Have a great holiday with your tamariki and we look forward to seeing you all in term 2!!!
IMPORTANT NOTICE!!! We have had some concerns from whanau about students out on the road before and after school. It is important that we are being safe and responsible out on the road. Can whanau please come in and collect your children as we are having many students running across the road in front of the cars. As a staff we will be doing a rotation system and each teacher will be on road patrol on a daily basis to help with this situation. Thank you for your consideration.
PRINCIPAL AWARDS and REWARDS
Each term I will be rewarding some of our students by offering them "A DAY OUT WITH THE PRINCIPAL". Yesterday we had an awesome day out fishing and the tamariki thoroughly enjoyed this day. Tomorrow, I am taking out the recipients of our weekly Principal Awards to the Diversion maze for a bit of fun, then we will be going out for lunch down at Hannahs Bay. If you do the mahi, you get the treats!!!
