Introducing Zoe Rankin

Kia ora koutou katoa,

My name is Mrs Rankin, although last year I was known as Miss Beesley. During the summer holidays I had a wonderful wedding out at Lake Tarawera and I am loving married life in our new home.

I am Scottish and my new husband is Irish.  Five years ago we sold all of our belongings in Scotland and set off on our mountain bikes, with a vague plan in mind, and eventually made it to New Zealand. This beautiful country has become a part of us and we officially became Kiwi residents four months ago.

This year I will be teaching in Room 1 alongside Christina and I am really looking forward to working in the Junior School and exploring the ‘learn-through-play’ philosophy.

As well as teaching part-time, and riding my bike in the Redwoods, I am also an author. So, on my three days out of the class, I am busy writing my second crime fiction novel and writing a new short story blog called 'Z.B.Rankin - The Blog'.

Thank you for welcoming me to Rotokawa and into the community. My husband and I have been wonderfully impressed by the generosity and kindness of Kiwi people and we intend to stick around for a while.
