A measle outbreak in NZ has been in the news lately.

It is important to know the signs and symptoms of the virus in order to act quickly and get the neccesary medical assistance.  While it is a whanau's right to choose to immunise their children or not, please be aware that any unimmunised children may be asked to stay at home for two weeks if there is an outbreak at the school.

An information sheet is attached below with information on the signs, symptoms and timelines of the measles virus.  If you have any questions you can contact Healthline 24 hours a day  on 0800 611 116.
